Washing your wheel rims and tyres

When you wash your car, do you use the same cloth to do the tyres and wheel rims? Please don't, you will cause lots of damage to the duco of the car. Your wheel rims normally has more grit and grime than the body of the car. Sand, grit and whatever dirt your wheel rims and tyres pick up will get stuck in the cloth and by using it on the duco will cause scratches. Also use a diffirent cloth to dry and polish your rims, tyres and car.

When you wash and polish your car choose the correct cloths. Do not use any cloths that is nylon, silk or lycra - reason is that these materials are non-absorbent. It does not soak up water to wash or dry as a cotton or toweling cloth would do. Think about it when you decide to give your car a little attention.
